The Telmar Flash Drive is easy and quick to install and fits in a 3.5-inch or 5.25-inch SCSI drive disk form factor slot.
Telmar has recently launched a replacement Solid State Disk (SSD) for service providers to upgrade their switching system. The Telmar Flash Drive (TFD) is an integrated solution that utilizes proven SCSI drive architecture and industry-standard Compact Flash Card technology to provide a solid state, drop-in replacement for electro-mechanical hard drives. Not only is the TFD is cost efficient, it’s also less likely to fail than a standard hard drive due to its high reliability and solid state with no moving parts.
The TFD is currently available in two physical packagings: Hard Disk Drive (HDD) replacement with no external removable storage device and Magneto-Optical (MO) or tape drive replacement with externally removable CF memory card slot. The TFD emulates the operation of a SCSI hard drive disk and requires no additional software for operation due to its SCSI data storage/bootable drive. This fast and efficient field replace allows service providers to have a quick, low-cost flash memory solution for their legacy system through TFD’s configurable firmware that matches legacy systems software. The TFD is quick and easy to integrate and has been deployed and proven in many platforms.

Even in a tough economy, it’s possible for wireless carriers and enterprises to find a solution that benefits all stakeholders including the end users. The Tango
Networks’ Abrazo™ mobile Unified Communications (mobile UC) is just that solution which utilizes the best of the carrier network and the best of the enterprise voice communications network, marrying the two to create a truly unified communications/fixed mobile convergence experience.
Last year, Telmar announced a strategic relationship with Tango Networks to resell the Tango Abrazo™ mobile UC solution and is now ready to take fixed-mobile convergence to the next level of service in the Caribbean Islands. The Tango Abrazo extends the features and functions of an enterprise’s IP-PBX or UC Platform to any mobile phone, creating a Fixed-Mobile Converged Unified Communications (UC) environment.
Now an enterprise can easily manage its mobile communications along with rest of their fixed voice, data, and unified communications network. Not only does this make their communications network more efficient, it also helps save both OPEX and CAPEX for the enterprise.

Packaging and shipping telecom equipment requires a wide assortment of shipping options. More often than not, creating a custom-fitted package is the best way to ensure a safe delivery. In order to continue delivering the highest quality products and services to our customers, Telmar recently installed a new Foam-in-Place (FIP) technology system which features the most cost-effective, time-efficient packaging technology in the industry.
FIP is polyurethane foam that is molded in real-time by combining two liquid foams through a pressurized mixer at a very high temperature. The mixture expands rapidly around the product being protected, creating a custom, protective shell.
This type of packaging technology is designed to support multiple drops and can be reused by Telmar’s customers, once custom fit. This is a tremendous advantage for customers who forward or re-ship products that originated from Telmar because they can re-use this packaging with confidence that the equipment will arrive to its destination in good and safe condition.
The overall goal is to ensure that Telmar continues to complete quality deliveries with the highest shipping integrity in the industry.
